She could have a reproductive tumor. GET HER TO THE VETS! And, while she is there, get her fixed!!

Sounds like she is in her first stage, which is swelling and maybe a clear substance. It could be another week before she is actually bleeding. If you are planning on breeding your dog, then make sure that your dog gets with the male at least 3 different times. If a female only mates one time, your chances of a single birth are great, which could lead to a large pup, in turn leading to a c-section. If you are not planning on breeding then consider having her spayed. Having her spayed will prevent ovarian cancer and incontinence when she is older.

Our dog has just had the same. It was a false or phantom pregnancy. The vet said it is common for dogs to miss a season or have them every two years; they are a lot less regular than humans.

We have just had out ***** spayed, it only takes 30 minutes and increases the health and life of the dog as they are much less prone to some of the diseases of the uterus. All vets are agreed it is much better for the dog so maybe think about it.

It sounds like she is in heat now. Not all dogs bleed visibly and some are so adament about being clean that the owner never sees any blood. Keep her well away from intact male dogs for at least 3 weeks.

My dog was pretty discreet about it, actually. We had no idea she was mensruating until we found some teeny bloodspots in the corner; I would try a doggy diaper for a few days or so. If she still seems agitated but is not bleeding, I would see a vet - it could be something is upset with her lady parts.

She could just not be leaking because she is licking herself. If you want to know for sure, get a doggy diaper. It sounds like she just has her period though.

Is this her first season? Its 6 days in and 6 days out. She will continue to swell, and have very little discharge if its her first season.
