why is there so much hate nowdays? from what i've read the atheists, in stead of minding their own business are picking on believers. on the other hand, i notice these fanatic people trying to convert atheists to faiths that may not be correct. i'm a believer, or so i consider myself but i'm not trying to force anyone to my beliefs. i may give advice if asked. why pick on someone who doesn't agree with you? i've read atheists pows and although i don't agree at all i respect their beliefs. i'va also seen atheists blaming believers of being narrow minded. now how can they know? we are forcing people to faith when kindness and selfsacrifice is what does mirracles. am i wrong?

No, you are not wrong. Stupidity is divided equally to both sides of the imaginary fence. There are atheists and Christians who could act extremely silly.

Just be right if you can, but please don't hate

I agree with you. I don't try to force my beliefs on unbelievers. But if they ask a question I answer it based on those beliefs. I respect that atheists don't believe as I do, but the constant insults and jokes are really unnecessary. They are also a waste of their time. But, hey, maybe they like wasting their time. Or maybe they see it as a defense of their beliefs. I don't know. But there is a respectful way to represent your feelings, and that applies to everybody whatever you believe.

My first though is

Where Has Jesus Gone?

He taught Love others no matter their differences. I see people who claim to be Christians are hateful towards others and the non-Christians trying to just get some respect. Is this what Jesus really wanted? I thought Jesus was LOVING not hateful of others.

You're a good man, and no, you are not wrong. I think the same thing. People always try to convert me, my best friend has been sketchy with me since I converted, and my relatives aren't too happy. I think it's just that people are so strong-minded that they think whatever they believe it's right.

Short answer: Sheer ignorance.

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

Just reading the replies so far demonstrates my point.

We love them enough to tell them the truth of Jesus Christ....and we love the Christians enough to not allow atheists to rail on and abuse our Christian Brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Honestly, you can't expect the atheists on here to act any better than the Christians do.

What else would you expect on a religion forum? Besides, what you're calling hate is really smart @ss irreverence. Take a deep breath and don't take it too serious like, it's only Yahoo.

You sound confused. Try joining a Christian Church and get some advice about giving your life over to Christ.
