In 325AD the church leaders met to compile scrolls and create the Bible. One of the scrolls, "The Gospel of the Essenes" quoted Jesus acknowledging a Father and Mother as Godly personages. However, these all male Church Leaders rejected that scroll and such a notion, even if it was a quote from Jesus. -- Go figure.

Examle of some peoples Church logic:
A "Christian" by definition is a person who has accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God.

According to that definition, Satan is a Christian. Proof: Satan believes that Jesus is the Son of God. - a pretty lousy definition, I would say.

The virgin Mary saint Teresa Oh there are a whole lot of female saints But the Virgin mother of God is the recognition of the female aspect of God who created male and female in Gods image. Of course it is all silly because the Transcendent transcends our silly books.
YES it is Sexism that the way the world was that's the way mothers raised there sons. The problem with women today is they think to be equal they have to be more like men. They are already have the advantage when it comes to the spirit. But in economics they are not treated equally that's a shame. But they should not have to act like men they should be women.
Take the Goddess Kali from India who when depicted is standing on the back of the King of the Gods the all powerful male God. But here is A goddess standing on HIS back.WHY because nothing happens without the female. NOTHING and this truth is shown in any Cathedral in Europe The mother of god Mary holds the GOD in her lap she is what holds the God He can do nothing without her. Its a nod to the truth.
The female is the Field she simply is she creates She knows what she is sacred . Its the man who has to run around and dance around the fires. He has to have the ritual because he does not have the magic without her.
So yes it is very sexist all religions have to recognize what is simple truth Biology is part of the Psyche.

A "Christian" by definition is a person who has accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God. Since among the Ten Commandments there is the statement, Thou shalt have no other God before me, it stands to reason that there is no other God. Therefore, worshipping a Goddess is a non-Christian idea.

And by the way, the assertion that "Catholics treat Mary like a goddess" is patently untrue. Only God, in the Holy Trinity, is afforded the status of worship; we "venerate" mary, which is a whole different thing.

I think it's because the main God of the Israelites, Yahweh, was a male deity (don't forget that people worshipped both Gods and Goddesses at that time), who eventually rose to eclipse all other Gods in their religion. In Judaism and in Christianity, the "male" tag just got grandfathered in (no pun intended).

In fact, there's considerable evidence that the Israelites also worshipped a Goddess, Asherah, who was considered to be the wife/consort of their God Yahweh, but Her worship was eventually suppressed.

i could desire to start of by using asserting that i'm a Southern Baptist, and not a Catholic. the 1st 3 Gods are one God in 3 persons; the daddy, the son, and the holy spirit. they are the three products, in case you will, of one almighty God. the daddy maintains to be in heaven, the son is the piece that does artwork in the international, and the holy spirit is the piece that lives interior all adult adult males. Mary isn't ineffective. To die is to lose sight of the daddy and enhance into separated in spirit. while we are saying Mary is in heaven, we recommend her spirit is. She isn't worshiped as a God, yet as a center guy, in case you will. Jesus suggested 'None could come to the daddy, different than by using me'. Catholics do no longer have confidence this. they think that guy isn't organic sufficient to talk directly to the daddy. If each thing Catholics prayed to became a God, they could have hundreds because of the buyer saints. Christianity is monotheistic, no longer polytheistic. And there are communities who do no longer evaluate Catholicism to be somewhat of Christianity, in order that which you recognize.

The term Male God is redundant. Male Gods are all there are.
However, as to leaving out the Goddesses is definitely sexist, and was how the Church decided to set it up. The times dictated it, as women were second-class citizens AT THAT TIME. If you look deep enough, the female aspect is slowly being accepted.

According to my religion teacher, they don't worship a Female God because only pagan religions do that, and they don't want to be associated with those.

According to me, they don't worship a Female God because not as many people would've followed a Female God back then.

It today's moderm politically correct world, yes that is by far sexism. However, the Bible wasn't written in 2007, it was written when men were considered dominant. Christians worship a male God and consider him male because the Bible referes to He and Him. And besides, wheather or not secular society considers it sexist, religion is supposed to be free to worship whichever or whomever sex of God they wish!
