He created the angels and they revolted (becoming evil) and he did nothing. God creates humans and they supposedly become evil (Genesis 6:5-7) and destroys all living creatures on the planet (except Noah and his fantasy ark story). Such a contradiction for God, or is he just that weak?

powerliftingrules: So God did not want the angels to fear him, hence no punishing them or destroying them. But humans that is ok to, so that we can fear him? Does that even make logical sense?

OK, everyone who keeps stating that the angels were banished to hell and that is punishment enough. But the killing of all those people is just taking their lives. However, as you know that those people will end up in hell, since they did something so terrible that God actually killed them. Their sins would not be forgiven by God, since they obviously in their lives did not follow God's will or obey God. Please at least read your answer prior to posting to see if it makes any sense.

I agree, why a battle at all? Couldn't He have just willed them out of existence?

Maybe it was part of a plan.....

He did not destroy or kill the angels because of the other angels. He wanted the other angels to love Him not fear Him. If he had destroyed the fallen angels then the remaining angels would have existed in fear. He is a God of love not fear. Now you know the rest of the story. I just re-read your question. Humans do not become evil we are born with sin. Because of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. No its not why should we have to pay for their sins faced with free will and Lucifers temptation we would all have done the same thing. Man is inherently evil because of that day. There is no contradiction in the Bible. Truth is there are none. Ive gone through this with an atheist who knew the Bible. We went back and forth and when I showed him no contradiction after about 6 efforts. He said I just may have changed his mind. I said no I did nothing it is the Holy Spirit. So I hope you open up and let us believers show you the truth. Amen Peace out...........

Edit:
Your choice words make it hard to get at what you are trying to say.In your edit response up top. I think I got what you are trying to say. He loved the angels so he did not destroy them. He loves us mankind as well so he will not destroy us. He gives us free will. We have a 50/50 chance. You choose to live for God or against Him. No middle ground. So he doesnt choose for us to go to Heaven or hell we do. The angels who have fallen will go to hell. So that is there punishment. Any other bright ideas? Later.............

Britain did no longer say "enable there be thirteen colonies" after which there have been thirteen colonies. The colonies got here into lifestyles over the years: the obstacles progressed, the populations progressed, and there became different bloodshed in the back of that evolution. The vital way of lifestyles of the thirteen colonies would have been British, yet there have been different human beings from everywhere in the globe (a number of whom have been already there), and the sum of those cultures and the standard choose for freedom of various kinds ended in American way of lifestyles as we see it at present. besides, King George became fallible, and the God of the Bible is all-powerful. the story of devil revolting against God isn't comparable as a results of fact if God is defined as infallible, there is no way all of us ought to ever defeat Him. that may no longer actual of a human king. A tyrannical king isn't God, although a lot he might think of he's. united statesa. notably a lot popular the fallibility of the British king interior the progressive conflict. Tyranny is evil, and people who're prepared to hazard all to conquer it are solid.

You must ask yourself, "did He really destroy all those with the great flood or is there really life after death?"

Sure, there mortal bodies were destroyed by the great flood, but were there souls destroyed as well? For God destroy a soul would mean that He made a mistake and God does not make mistakes. That is why we are offered eternal life through repentance of our sins and trust in His Son, Jesus to save us from God's wrath.

No contradiction there. Just a lack of understanding.

10 out of 10 people die. The question is, where will you spend eternity? Heaven or Hell. Hell is a place of eternal suffering for all those that refuse to repent and trust in Jesus. It is eternal, therefore those that end up there can never be destroyed. Again, God doesn't make mistakes. Hell is simply a prison separated from God for eternity where there is great weeping and gnashing of teeth.

not all angels rebelled against God.It was Lucifer who was once angel (a cherub) and 1/3 of the angels followed to his rebellion fell down from heaven.God did not destroy them but punished them.Lucifer was cast to the earth.separated from the glory of the Creator God,he lost his beauty and light he had once had and became evil and full of darkness and so with the angels who fell with him lost their glory and became evil spirits.
God created human being (Adam and Eve) and gave them dominion to rule the earth but something happened in the garden of Eden. They disobeyed God so sin entered the whole earth.man lost the glory and image of God and the dominion over the creation. All the generation following Adam and Eve have inherited their fallen nature(sinful nature),all have come under the power and dominion of satan. In Noahs time God saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become. The Lord was grieved and his heart was filled with pain.He decided to wipe out mankind whom he created.Noah and his family were righteous that's why He save them from the flood. When Noah was building the ark people were mocking him.they did not believe to Noah and instead they continue in their wickedness.God loves us so much that He still giving us the chance to repent from our wickedness.

Wow, you might try reading the Book of Job. Job questioned the will of G-d and G-d's only answer was that He is the Creator of all things and He can *basically* do what He wants. I have had a similar question and I believe that G-d wants to remain a mystery and that we may never know why He does what He does. He is omniscient so it's best to trust that He knows what He's doing.

Because they are His Children. One third followed Satan. That's what this age, the age men dwell in flesh is all about. Salvation of whomsoever accepts Christ. A deep subject about the lengths God has gone through to offer eternal life to all.

Weak minded people take the story and stop there and interpret that as history. Its not history it is a metaphor and it is supposed to speak to you today and your relationships to others and your Psyche People who think it happened are off the track and never grow spiritually.
People who try and disprove a metaphor by pointing out that its not true are just silly, its a metaphor.
When the symbols are interpreted spiritually rather than concretely then they yield the revelation.

In the Bible it says God hates destroying any of his beloved creation. So, he gave them another chance. But he'll obviously have to destroy them come Judgment Day.
