Tancredo said he was astonished at the injuries on Ramos' body, which he said did not coincide with reports from the prison earlier this week that described his injuries as "minor."
"His bruises were deep and severe," Tancredo said. "His arm, chest and back are black and blue with broken blood vessels on his arm. It was terrible."
Ramos was beaten Saturday night by roughly a half-dozen inmates who recognized him from a TV show that aired shortly before 10 p.m. He was pulled from his cell, which remains unlocked until midnight, by the inmates and kicked repeatedly by the men who were wearing steel-toed boots. The boots are issued to inmates for their daily work, according to the prison's Web site.
Ramos did not see a doctor until Wednesday, Tancredo said.
He did not see a doctor for 4 days!!!!! 4 days, what is up with that??
I think prison's warden, Constance Reese and her bosses should be fired for neglect.

Have you notice how the pro legal blame the show. The prison knew what the contends would be in advance. The pro legal seem to be saying no accountability on the prison's part. It's all America's Most Wanted fault.

Yeah, I heard he had violent bruises and lacerations, and that the prison wouldn't let Tancredo see medical reports from right after the beating.
I don't remember the article source.
I think THAT is a well founded lawsuit in the making.
and sqwirlsgirl, truth that medical care should be better across the board, however, also truth that this guy would clearly be a target and should not have been in with the general population. Even Diane Feinstein was amazed at that and got the Judiciary Committee to instigate an investigation.

This was a sad story to hear..how i heard was on a talk show. it had not even been announced on the news yet.. That warden needs to be investigated and fired for her stupidity.. She is the one in control of the Prison and seems to be a bad warden.. but as we know every bad thing that happens with people like her is political... first of all why was it on American Most Wanted... they are already in prison... good luck to him and the other one in prison as well..

I agree that the warden and everyone involved should be fired. Nacho shouldn't have been in that type of environment with all the prisoners that are illegal aliens. They had to have KNOWN this would happen.
Whoever put him there should also be fired. Sutton and all those that lied should be in prison, not Ramos and Compean!!!
I heard that Nacho was treated on Monday (as per his father-in-law). Nacho had blood coming out of his ears and the prison REFUSED to treat him. This is criminal!!!

Sad, this should have never gotten this far.
Still, it took six of them to attack a single man. Real Machismo there.
