My refridgerator is acting up and froze my carrots. I was about to make chicken and dumplings. Can I still use the carrots that are now frozen solid to cook with?

Oh definitely! I keep a bag of baby carrots in my freezer for cooking uses. As long as they're not mushy and slimy, you're fine!

Sure you can, There should be no noticable difference unless the carrots have absorbed other flavors from the freezer. You can buy frozen carrots at the market for cooking

Yes just cut the ends off of them and chop them or slice them for in soup. The only thing that I would not use them is a salad. You can buy frozen carrots in the store. I have bought carrots when they were on sale and cut them up and put them in plastic bag to put into the freezer. You can even freeze celery, onions, green and red peppers. Any kind of vegetable that you put into soups and stews. Have a good day.

I would say Yes. They probably would be gross if they thawed & you wanted to eat them raw, but for cooking they should be just fine. It's no different than buying a bag of frozen carrots & using them in cooking. Chicken & Dumplings sounds yummy! :)

I do it all the time. If there is roast left over, I slice it and package it so I have just enough in pkg for sandwiches. Or I will grind it to make it into deviled beef sandwich fillings at a later time. I have even been known to freeze grilled steaks that were thawed and cooked. I can then pop them in the microwave and reheat. Really FAST FOOD!!
