could be drugs or alcohol , could be he is not lucky in love, or is a cheater , maybe health is a concern .

Well, if he is referring to his mental state, then take him at his word and get away from him.
There are 2 things it could be and both are bad.
#1. He's very serious and has battled some kind of psychological disorder.
#2 He's making it all up (or thinks he is) and is just trying to play on your sympathy.
In either case, he really does have problems and you should heed this warning. Get away. The only kinds of relationships that these sad individuals have are bad ones.

It could mean anything, really. Maybe he does drugs, maybe he has money problems, maybe he has psychological or personal issues he's still trying to resolve. The best thing you can do is ask him to name these problems; if you can help him overcome these problems, both of you will come out better for it.

hmm...it depends very much..how did he tell u that? in what circumstance? are u with him?
it means he maybe has family problems, mental problems, sexual problems...it can be a lots of problems...be more explicit

it could mean anything. he is abusive, he is mentally retarded..... ect ect. he cheats, ect.....
