For couples: Being in different countries, what's the frequency of your calls like?

If you have been or are in a different country relationship/dating over long distance,...I really would like to know what's the frequency of calls like...and are u happy with it?

Daily at first, but then it organically dropped to twice a week or so after a month; we were both fine with that.

Me and my guy dont talk much right now it too cold where he is and it frustrates me over it but we send alot of emails back and forth when he cant call. It cost him $4 a minute to call from his cell phone and weather keeps him inside most days.
I not happy with it but i know he be there for me when he comes back home.
