If you went back in time and shot your grandpa before your dad was born, what would happen?

It's like the chicken/Egg question...
If you shot him, you would disappear...
but if you disappear that means you wasn't there to shoot him... So you wouldn't disappear
I heard this one and it always confuses me so is there another ending to the question?

Well if you put it that way, I dont see the confusion, see, you said 'if you went back in time', means it's the presend YOU who went back, so technically YOU could shoot the granpa....and then disappear.

If you travel back in time, nothing will change because it was already set in stone. And besides, why would you go back in time and shoot your grandpa? that would be a waste of time.
