Yes I have seen some men do this, and I will list the reasons why I think they do it. I'm sure there are other reasons. I'm inclined to believe it is a game because they don't know what they really want period or because they're not really sure they even want the woman they are seeing. Another reason is because they are a player in general or because they are gay. Gay men generally enjoy having women around but do not want any women because they want men, and this makes it appear as if they are playing hard to get, when in reality they are not.
A woman should not have to continually chase a man, if she does have to, then something is wrong and I personally feel it would not be worth pursuing. Just my opinion.

I'm not sure if guys are big into playing this game. It's more of a female thing to get attention.
If men did do that to women it would probably be for the same reason women do it. Men want you to swoon over them.

I'm a girl and yes i play hard to get with boys i think its' fun and shows weather some1 is really into you or just out to have fun with you and damp you after he's finished.

I'm sure some do, but that's just immaturity and low self esteem.
A guy that's confident in himself (not cocky), and really likes you, shouldn't play games, imo.
And girls that play games need to stop. It's annoying and most mature guys won't deal with it.

I do sometimes if I get jealous of my girlfriend if she is hanging out with one of her guy friends. I usually only do this if I know that the guy she is hanging out with likes her.

yes because girls like men that seem like he don't cares about nothing. Most girls like the character like Dr. House, but if you try to be like him girls will know and reject you. Under the Man's Law, Section 3B, paragraph 12, Thou shall try to get the girl without losing your dignity.

Yes they do, I think it's another way for them to avoid commitment and make themselves feel like they aren't "off the market."

I don't think so girls do that more often. Well, because boys don't think that as one of there ways to get someone(hope that answered your question).
