it would seem to me that you are evolving into a human as god created us. Congratulations. I would suggest that you are going to enjoy what is left of the ride purchased for you by the blood of Christ. Again congratulations on your new found spiritual prosperity

That statement is true only if the individual puts more value on the material goods than on his/her own spirituality. It is good to have things that you can share with those less fortunate and in real need. It is not good to have things if you have to lock them up and protect them from others that you fear will try to take your things. This is a very interesting point and many other parts of it to be considered here but the bottom line is "Any items we possess need to be items that we can look at and know in our own hearts that they are gifts from God, and we look at them in this way and know that God should be valued above all else and the possessions will not own us and we keep His commandments to love and honor Him above all else. We give freely to help others where there is real need. Just for example, take a look at Montel Williams, Oprah Winfrey, and many others who do have substantial means and use it to do good for others. This is Christian love, as opposed to those who have nothing, but think the world owes them everything and they set out to take all they can from anybody they can. They are selfish and misguided, without spiritual value of themselves or others.

You need more possessions to take care of the possessions you already own.

True. and False.
You can make yourself a slave of things or you can use things for specific purposes to serve you or others. For example: I own a collection of teapots. I love these teapots. Once upon a time I had lovely tea parties and used these teapots. They served me well. Now I serve them by dusting them frequently.

Very straight-forward advice.
Society is too worldly, and puts too much self into physical things that will one day be useless.
Too bad there aren't more people who work on the eternal soul and spirit through a relationship with the Savior.

That certainly explains the idolatry of megachurches (US$100million) and the catho-lice cathedral in Los Angeles (US$300million).

I don't think so, in every case. I have no problem getting rid of things when necessary. But I think it definitely can happen.
