Stewart, Gordon, Dale Jr., Johnson, and Kahne.
Between the five, I have to say Gordon is the best representative - he's been in the sport the longest and speaks very well no matter what mood he's in. Dale Jr. is the most popular driver, no matter how many polls are taken - but he is too bold when he speaks and he disses his pit crew too often. Stewart is on a streak right now - he's recovered from rehab very well and has some of the best equipment/cars out there, but he still tends to drive too aggressively during most races I've seen. Jimmie and Kahne are young and talented, and they've won many races this past year. They are on the verge of growing whiskers -- it will be interesting to see how they perform this year.

But in no order I would say any of these are the best or among the best;
Jeff Gordon,Tony Stewart,Jimmy Johnson,Kasey Kahne,Ryan Newman,Kevin Harvick,Busch.

Not a easy pick for me
I want to say Tony Stewart, since I'm a Tony Stewart fan, but I have to admit that Jimmie Johnson is probably right up there with Tony Stewart.
Call him a whiner, cheater, whatever, but he hasn't had a bad season in NASCAR yet.

Best Driver is hands down Jeff Gordon, I am a huge fan and I hate that people constantly say he is gay or a bad driver but just look at his stats and he is the best driver around.

Juan Pablo Montoya is the best racer on the track,
when has genassi been worth a damn? all of a sudden hes qualified 4th for the 500 thats just his lap time wait till hes comfortable and starts racing

Jeff Gordon hands down. He's won 75 races, 213 top 5 finishes, 287 top 10 finishes, $57,996,225. And on top of that he's won 4 championships.
