I have a problem w/ my nose or whatever. Like 2 years ago, I never got a nose bleed, last year, I've had like 3 nose bleeds, and this year, I've had like a couple, around 8 or 9. This week, i've gotten 1 on Tuesday or Monday night, 2 on Thursday and Friday. I mean I just blow my nose and everything normal. on Thursday, it was the most blood that went out, there's this gooey thing that came out slightly bigger than the star here(for the interesting question). All my nose bleeds came from my right nostril, never did it come out the left. I really need help. I didn't tell my Mom that I had 2 more nosebleeds this week b/c I'm scared.
what do I do? i'm just 12. if ur wondering. thanks

I've experienced the same problem and it turned out that it wasn't anything to be worried about.
Having nose bleeds are normal for some people because of how their nose is structured. In some cases, having nose bleeds are common because the blood vessles are closer to the outter edge of your nose so their easy to break; causing a nose bleed. Sometimes dryness in your nose due to warm weather will cause it also. Nose bleeds can also be caused by inflamation in your nose. Other than that, don't worry about it! It will slowly fade away eventually.
Just as a reminder, use soft cotton balls instead of tissue paper to stop your nose bleeds because that can cause your nose to bleed even more. Also, drink lots of water to flush out the inflamation in your nose.

That's a lot of nose bleeds. Are they in the winter? Are you taking any kind of sinus medication? Electric heat tends to dry the air and dry out sinuses as well, which can cause nose bleeds. I'd only had one nose bleed before I moved to college, then I had several just because the heat in my dorm room was electric instead of gas. Also, if you take any kind of sinus medication for allergies or a cold, this also dries out your nasal passages which can cause a bleed. If neither of these things seems to fit or if the nosebleeds keep up, I'd talk to your mom and have her take you to a doctor to make sure it's not something more serious. Good luck.

I used to get lots of nose bleeds. It sounds like the lining of your nose has got thin in one nostril. be careful blowing it and use cold water to help it stop. I used to just stick my nose under a cold tap. I never saw a doctor about it and now I don't get them but if you are worried tell you mum and see a doctor, all he'll do is maybe give you a minor treatment inside your nostril to stop it.

One of the most common problems an individual may develop is nose bleeding (epistaxis). In the child it is usually the result of nasal drying but in the adult it may be a warning sign of high blood pressure. Rarely, it may be the presenting sign of a bleeding problem, a nasal growth or cancer, or even leukemia. Thus, any nasal bleeding which persists, recurs, or is severe needs to be evaluated by a doctor.
So get your parents to get you to the MD.

Tell your Mom, geez. it's probably the cold, if you've got a cold, and you're blowing your nose a lot, then the lining could rip. But tell your mom to take you to the doctors.

Don't be afraid to tell your mother! She will know what to do. You haven't done anything wrong so please have it checked out. It is probably nothing serious, but not doing anything is not the solution, as I am sure you know.
