what is the best way to ask a guy out? i really like him and we're pretty good friends and he might like me. also, should i do it tomorrow or on valentines day?

Talk him into casual chit chat to note his plans. Hopefully if he is not seeing someone else, then your approach can be clear. Dont plan a big date, something that gets him involved - work, studies, hike et al. and take it from there.

ask him out, but tell him that your friends dared you to and he might say yes. my boyfriend did that and that's how we started to go out with eachother.
