You see them everywhere and I am not sure if they really are any good at helping people find people to date. I have never used one. Only surfed as a visitor.

Struggler, Being single sucks, & so I tried several sites too. Major Yahoo Personnel - it was not much of help to me. I believe the best place to meet your match is during college life or at workplaces (maybe add other social gatherings too.)
But it is upto you how to make use of websites, just friendly suggestion dont pour $$, and Time into it. Socialize.

I think online dating can be a good source to meet people especially when most people are too busy to go out and try and meet people. Many times trying to meet people out is difficult. At least this way you know the other person has the same intentions. You just have to realize that you may have to meet a few people before you meet someone compatible with you. Everyone is different and some are pickier than others. It may be a good idea to just go into it with the mentality that you are just trying to make friends. You won't be so disapointed when it doesnt work out and if you meet people with a friendship in mind initially you can always meet other potential people through their friends. Who knows. They do indeed work.. I even ended up in a 3 year live in relationship with a girl once.. But like everything there arent any guarantees. But my personal opinion.. at least is a pretty good way to weed out the riff raff & non compatiables.. and it certainly beats bars if for no other reason it gives you access to more people over all (and for another its cheaper than buying drinks LOL)

Well that's depends of what you're looking for. If you're a shallow person that only focus on looks and even the size of his penis rather than knowing the person for who he or she really is you got a very serious problem because some cute guys on several dating sites are just jokes trying to get into your panties. The Other issue are the so-called "dating sites" that wants you to pay 20.00 dollars or more out of your credit or debit card per month to only meet assholes who doesn't have any type of work, boring, anoxious and machistas. Some sites even they post as free but you can't do **** unless you pay them. Dating online was good several years ago, but money greedy bastards and underage sluts screwed every meaning of it. It is better that you go to public places, like concerts, park activities or even when you go out on shopping to meet the one you're looking for. And please, be very careful of serial killers and rapists.

I've never tried them. I have some friends who do and they complain that all the guys they meet on there end up being creepy. I guess they could work providing both people are actually honest about who they are and what they are looking for... although I think I'd stick to the traditonal dating scene.

Rachael is somewhat correct, but i've never used an on line dating site, and walking around with my guy friends on the team i can tell you that most people on the street are looking for sex primarily as well. so take your chances. guys are guys, on line or not.
