NO grease, petroleum is a gasoline product and it clogs pores and with time can cause thinning hair. Oils like rosemary mixed with jojoba or olive oil are pretty good, my favorite to mix is almond oil and rosmary. Rosemary oil has been proven to increase circulation of the scalp and that results in faster hair growth. I never use any products with mineral oil because mineral oil doen't moisturize at all, it does basically the same thing petroleum does; nothing, it just sits there weighing hair down and clogging pores. I have been using water based oil lotions like Profectives... my hair is nearing mid-back length. I also use leave in conditioners and keep my hair from drying out. The key to healthy growing hair is to keep it from drying out and keep it protected. No over combing, no excess heat, keep it clean, and sleep with a fitted satin cap at night and with hats. I take a total of 7 vitimins a day, 3 hair skin and nails, vitimin c, vitimin e, biotin, and a fish oil pill. About a year ago I practically shaved all of my hair off, it was less than 2 inches long and now its about bra strap length... trust me.

Nothing can make your hair "grow" but you can make it stronger to keep it from breaking off, which in turn makes it seem like its growing faster. Take fish oil pills, use a leave in conditioner with a heat protector before you heat style, and DONT neglet regular trims! Good luck!
