It isn't that obvious. I mean, in films, you have the romantic string music in the background and the guy holds the girl and tells her how much he loves her, how beautiful she is, and kisses her. And the shaky camera makes you feel like it's all intimate when it zooms in on her inner thigh. Or whatever.
I think the most intimate and passionate thing is just putting all your energy into making your partner feel wonderful, and if one truly feels that and wishes to communicate it, it will become clear. All of the things you mentioned are perks, but without the true communication of feelings, don't amount to nearly as much as they do when coupled with it.
