I live in PA and I need to have some thoughts on what I want to write about for my highschool paper. We are going to have a session where we pitch ideas, and I am having trouble coming up with some.. Any ideas???

Could do debating questions. Like is Global warming made by humans, or is Global warming a natural thing.
Where do we get fossilization in the middle of the desert?
How much heat was generated by Mt. St. Helen's vs by man on any given week, day or year.
Just a few ideas to get those little gray cells working.
Here's another good subject.
How much could we save on electricty by routing water through generators along the Mississippi River?

How about writing about what your school was like when it was first created (what was going on in the country, the world, and what the school and students were like) and then compare that to how it is today. That way you could add pictures, people could write about different issues (like someone could write about clothing, another the world, and such). Or not, but good luck anyway!

do a gossip column , the popular kids will hate you for it.
make it tacky without mentioning names.
or mention names and ruin someone's high school experience.
