If he’s willing to wait for you, then if see something in you and that's a good thing. Maybe you should tell him lets date just on the weekends nothing big dinner movies theme parks, walk on the beach, nice silly little thing. You need to have friends too, and it will help you move from what ever it is that holding you back.

a good friend is hard to come by now days so don't let this one get away.

Completely depends on the person, situation, circumstances, etc. If the girl was needy and clingy and forsakes all others in the hopes of being with me... well.... that's just unattractive. If she's "doing her thing" and just keeps a mild interest in me 'til I come around... well... I COULD happen!
