I belong to a group that has many brain cancer surviors as well as other cancers. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/search?query=polymva
and select the public listings it also allows you to join the group. You just fill out the form and the moderator will let you know when you are accepted. I would put the above question exactly as it is. These are several people on this group who have survived, on is a 8 year old boy another a man in his 50's? etc. They used many different treatments including this polymva. I have had several friends who went through this some survived some did not.
Please contact this group as the support is fantastic and it they do great personal research. Hope this helps. I am a cancer survivor Class 1V Bone cancer who had no hope so you see never give up. Bless you and your mother!!

I went to my neurologist after an mri. I found out I had Multiple Sclerosis and an acoustic neuroma. I had to have brain surgery to remove the acoustic neuroma and everything turned out fine. I lost the hearing in my left ear and my balance is pretty bad. I found a support group for both problems. It helps me to have someone going through what I was. My dad had brain cancer and he never left the hospital. We had a resident come in to see my dad and he told him he would never drive again. I think (i know) that my dad gave up then. Always try to be positive and get as much help as you can. Support people will keep you going and that will help your mom.

Join an online support group. You don't have to be the patient in serious disease groups. Most of the big cancer agencies have caregiver support.

I'm sorry to hear about that. My father had brain cancer also, so I know what you are going through.
