I have known this girl for around seven years now (my family and her family are friends) and in the last year I fell in love with her. I hadn't really had a good conversation with her in those 7 years. Then I got a cell phone and started texting her and got to know her and fell in love with her. The problem is we don't talk much anymore, she lives hundereds of miles away, and she would never like me in that way in a million years. I don't want to like her anymore but I just don't know how to get rid of my feelings for her. Any advice?

Sorry about that. You already seem to have resigned yourself to anything happening. Keep looking around and find some new company to talk to. Hey, you didn't expect any of this to happen..perhaps something else unexpected will happen to you!
If she's a family friend, I guess you'll cross paths at somewhere in the future.

Long distance relationships generally don't work and yours didn't get off to a great start. Find someone close to where you live go out and talk face to face like we use to do before we had all the gadgets that we have today. Love is still the same today as it was 100 years ago and people actually talked to each other in person

yeah don,t u just hate that feeling when someone u love doesen,t respond?it seems as to she,s not into u as u are for her which is hard to accept at times.u are still young and u are going to meet or come across someone else.7yrs is a long time so give yourself a chance.just be strong and try meet other girls and i,m sure it will happen soon enough.also try talking about your feelings with your mom/dad they can be lots help in situations like this one your going through at the time,u will be ok, chill.

How do you know that she doesn't love you like you love her. She could be experiencing the same exact feelings that you are. One day when she comes back home talk to her and tell her how you feel. If she doesn't come home, call her and tell her how you feel.

You do have a problem... I have been there and it sucks. It takes time hon...try not to think of her. Get a hobby or something. Start dating someone.
