I'm sort of mousy light brown and need some oomph.

The best advice I can give you is don't go with trends, not when it comes to hair colour. Go with what suits your skin tone and the natural colour of your hair now. Go to a salon and get a free consultation, people on here can advise you but a pro really needs to see you in person to give you the best advise, then you'll be sure you'll get what suits you and in turns will look the best, good luck!

Sandy, beachy, or caramel blonde highlights would look good on light brown.
You may want layers while your at it, it gives your hair the oomph or whatever.. but layers always make it look better when you don't have time to do your hair in the morning.

I just got my hair coloured not to long ago and I put a black-redish on bottom and a blonde colour on top and it looks soo cool when you put it up in a messy bun!
