At least one week out of the tax season, the IRS gets so backed up that deposits are late and refund checks are mailed out late. Unfortunately, you are one of the unlucky ones that caught in that week. My refund was also set to be deposited on the 9th, but I didn't get mine as well. The money will probably be there on Monday or Tuesday. If not, you can call the IRS's automated refund number at 1-800-829-1954. You will need your filing status as well as the exact amount of your refund. If you want to actually speak to someone you can call 1-800-829-1040. There's a trick to actually getting to a representative though. You need to press 2 at the first menu option, then 2 at the second one. After that, the last option they give you is to speak to a rep. Good luck and hopefully you and I both will get our refunds early this week.

Your bank may not have gotten the transaction in time to post it by the end of their business day, If you do not have it by Monday call the IRS to see if there was a problem.

The IRS has had computer problems for a few days. See the blurb on the "Where's my Refund?" page of their website.

I've had mine deposited that way for three years now, and never had a problem. I would wait a till Tuesday and if it's not there in the morning, I would call them. You can always check your status at www.irs.gov and you won't have to wait on hold.

wait at least til tomorrow. make sure you put the correct a/c on your tax return for direct deposit. if there is still no money, call an IRS agent 800.829.1040, but plan to be on hold for awhile.
