yes it can effect your written exams, more so if you are having a panic attack during the, exam. Now how long they last that is different for each person and on how stresed you r.

A panic attack is an unneeded Adrenalin rush triggering a "fight or flight" response. When you are in danger, your body is flooded with Adrenalin to help you either defend yourself or escape. A panic attack is when you get that Adrenalin flood for no reason. Your breathing and heart rate go up and you feel a desperate need to do something although you don't know what. Can last several minutes. Note: panic attacks trigger themselves. If something sets you off like a sight or a sound that's not a panic attack.
