Smiling problem?

ok here's my dilema. My 1st period class is art and in the class i sit across from my friend, she's a girl and i like her a little, we met 2 weeks ago. But im a little afraid of the whole relationship thing, so for now i dont want her to know that i like her. the problem is that when im sitting across from her i cant help but to smile, its even harder when i try not to smile. i even tried thinking of sad things, biting my lip but its too difficult and before i know it i have a big smile on my face the whole time. I dont want her to see me like that because then she will know that somethings up, or she might just think its weird. But i even had to take a bathroom break because i couldn't stop smiling and i was afraid she would see me. Tomarrow im going back to school, and i dont want that to happen again. Does anyone have any solutions that could possibly help me to stop smiling so much, or any opinions that could help.

Well, this might not be the answer you want, but...I suggest talking to her and telling her how you feel. Tell her you're anxious about being in a relationship but that you really like her. Otherwise you'll keep smiling every time you see her, and if she doesn't figure it out first, one of your buddies might figure it out, which might make it ever more embarrassing. Good luck!

This is a hard one,but therre are resolutioons.You can always ask the teacher if you can move because of eyesight a chatting problem or you just feel comfortable somewhere else.That or just stop looking as much...she might not know the difference.You could act like you were smiling over what somebody told you.But when people smile at me i kind of wish they would tell me why.it depends though

Smiling is good but you should tell her, thats the only thing to make you stop smiling is to get it out and in the open. This is a really silly problem you have, so try covering your mouth and look down a lot.

Start biting the inside of your jaw or lip when you realize that you're smiling. It's cool that she makes you smile but you don't want to look like a big dork all grinning when there's nothing really going on. LOL Good luck.

hmm well think of her with a booger on her face and that might help you stop smiling.. but maybe it'll make you laugh.. Thats a no-no.. Umm just try not to think about her being there..Think of her as just one of your other guy-friends.. you can faintly smile alittle at times but try to to do it the whole time and dont show your teeth the whole time lmao , thats just creepy..
Just be nice and be yourself and you dont have to look at her the whole time

I have the EXACT same problem. You could tell her that you like her. Of coarse I dont have the guts to tell my friend so you might not either. : ) Try not looking at her. That might work. Sorry if this wasnt very helpful. Good luck!

You can never smile too much!!!
It's cool to see somebody smile. If you're scared she might think you're weird, then when you get to talk to her, just tell her how you're a happy guy, always smiling and in a good mood!!!

Wow this can be a lame difficulty for you imo. i imagine seeing people smile is tremendous. i'm no longer particular what you do in India to get out of that issue yet in u . s . of america you oftentimes can substitute training.

Why the heck would you want to stop smiling? Suck it up, ask her out and have some fun. Don't be afraid.

You smile cause your happy don't stop there is nothing wrong with that if you didn't smile she might think theres something wrong with you.
