My cat did the same thing.
It was food allergies.
Read the food label. Avoid all corn and wheat products.
NEVER feed Purina, Iams or Science Diet. Read "Foods Pets Die For" by Ann N. Martin to find out all the gruesome details.
You will be shocked and amazed.
Look into Innova EVO, Artemis, Felidae, and California Natural. All are good, all have websites.

Well the first question is why is she getting bald.Is the hair just falling out or is she pulling it out with her teeth? Is she licking her self more in that area,or is she scratching herself there?Did you change something in her diet, her food or gave her a new snack?Did anything change in your lifestyle,a new girlfriend,a new member in the family, dis you move?Did u buy something new where she is sitting/lying on,new chair, new couch, new carpet? Is the skin on her belly normal or is there redness or skin lesions? You are giving to little information for me to give a proper answer, but first things the pop in my mind are allergy of psychogenic alopecia. In the first case you should think of anything that has changed in her lifestyle and try to get it back to how it was,see if the baldness continues and you should also check her for fleas. In the second case things are more difficult, cause the cat is making herself bald, due to stress or another change in her psychology. If you can see any lesions or redness of the skin it could be caused by various factors, bacteria, parasites etc so you should really take her to the vet.Taking her to the vet is also recommended to help you control your pets weight and he/she could examine your cat and tell you more about the bald areas on your cat.Good luck, hope i helped you,you really don't give enough information so i can answer more specific than this.

Is it from "over grooming" ? It could be a number of things. Her diet (not enough of nutrients) for healthy hair growth. It could be just like humans. As we age, body hair becomes softer, thinner & tends to fall out. Check for any rashes or skin diseases, if not love her just like she is, after all she loves you the same way.
