how sad.... she is using her "power" as you call it to open the doors for children - that is very noble and worthy a cause! too many people feel the way you do and that is why the state of our public education stinks!

Why does everyone have such a low opinion of teachers in general and elementary school teachers in particular? They're the first line of defense! If they don't lay the right foundation, what are the high school and college teachers going to build on later? Elementary school teachers have the most important job in the world. Hell no, she didn't sell herself short. If she had, she'd have become a politician like her old man!

With her resources she should do something she enjoys as well as something important. Sounds like she's doing both. She is a young woman just getting started in life with a lot of big decisions yet to make. Greater things could very well still be in her future.

A famous (uninformed) maxim comes to mind.

"If you are so smart, why are you not rich?"

The erudite answer to the question is:

"I am smart enough to know what is important to me, and what is important to the overall theme of worthiness."

This should answer your question about Jenna Bush.

One profession isn't more important than another, but I think that if you have a certain amount of power, you also have a certain amount of responsibility to exercise that power for the good of others.

Is that what you were getting at?
