I know you can't exercise physically. But can you exercise mentally?

When I was little my Mom would read to me and said it wasn't good for my eyes to read when I was sick. But I got the flu right now and playing my Nintendo DS and I got no ill effects :-)

No! Haven't you heard about the nausea it can cause? Studies have shown that reading while sick can induce vomiting, dizzyness, and never, EVER getting over the flu. You better not read, that's too much work.

Its good to read especially when your sick that is when i do most of my reading because i can't really do to many other things, except sleep, and watch tv

Unless your eyes are all swollen, there's nothing wrong with reading while sick. It's worse to not do anything if you're bedridden.

lol no it's not bad. The only way I can see it being not so good for you is if you really get into a book and don't sleep for days :P

I think that there should be no problem, unless you are sick in the eyes and you are unable to move them or something

I don't know why it would be. Reading is a form of relaxation and when you are sick you need to relax.

its not a problem unless you think it is. You might end up puking on your book though or get a really bad headache.
