It's common for you to have that many svchost.exe's running. I always do.

The csrss.exe issue could be due to your user profile being corrupt and you may need to delete your user profile.

Before continuing, make sure you have backed up the contents of your My Documents folder, and any other important data stored in your profile such as application settings. Once your profile is deleted, you will not be able to recover data stored inside of it.

In order to delete your profile, you must be logged in with an account which has administrative privileges which is also not yours. Once you are logged in, open the user profiles list. To locate the list of local user profiles, right-click My Computer, click Properties, and then on the Advanced tab, click Settings under User Profile. Select your profile from the list, and then click Delete.

Logoff, and then log back on as yourself. A new profile will be created when you log on.

This problem could also be related to a bug in msn messenger. If you have recently installed this (within the last 2 weeks) then uninstall it and download and install a newer version.

You can also go to run and type in msconfig ok. Select what you dont want to run like svchost, Leave the important stuff alone. Like sys tray. I use a program called start cop and daily there is stuff in there I disable from running because I'm on the internet alot. See if you can download start cop for free or something like it. It wont permanently remove it ( you would have to format ) but it will disable it.
