chinese brides wear red which is the color of joy. Me myself i am wearing white and blue. Purple, blue, and red were popular choses back in the day because thAT dye was very expensive. Brides have only been weaing white since the 1800's it is a fairly new tradition.

A bride can wear any color she wants. For my first wedding, I wore white. And 27 years later when I married my second husband, I wore a light sage. It was a beautiful dress, and I got lots of compliments. Many first marriage brides wear white, cream, ivory, champagne even, but that doesn't mean you are limited to what others do. If you want pink, blue, red, green... or whatever, go for it. It's your wedding! Congrats...

No, you can wear whatever color wedding dress you want! Its your day! The white wedding dress is jsut a tradition that got started. It dosent mean you have to follow the tradition. If you dont want the dress to be white, then who cares, have it hot pink if you want. But white is just a more traditional color for the bride, because nobody is wearing it, it kind of makes you stand out. But if you dont want it to be white, then I say you dress your bridesmaids in white, and then you dress in whatever color you want the wedding dress to be. Just remember whatever color you want that dress to be i say "go for it!" Have a nice wedding!

no I don't think it is wrong for the bride not to wear white... infact to me personally, I feel it is VERY unique!
I am having a themed wedding..
~Both ideas are out of the ordinary and unique to match the bride & grooms personalities!!

Its basically what ever you are comfortable wearing, what ever looks good on you, I know I tried on the pure white dresses and they washed me out, I tried on a dress that they called candle light white with gold, and it looked the best, you choose what looks the best on you
