I am a total teen nerd and the girls just hate me. Is there any hope that I'll find a girl or will I be single for the rest of my life?

Do girls like nerds?

Sure, "nerds" get girls. If by nerdy you mean wicked smart and clever in the humor department, you won't have any trouble landing a special lady down the road.

Let me put it this way, intelligent women like equally, if not more intellectually stimulating counterparts. There are other types of women too, not the sharpest tools in the shed, so to speak. They might not be equipped to appreciate your smarts, though in some cases, they might still be nice to look at. Steer clear of those sorts, lest you have a very shallow union. In college you'll have a bevy of equals to pick from, so just cultivate your sense of humor, a little bit of a sense of style, and always, your sense of chivalry. Not a lot of that last one left in the world. It'll set you apart.

Hope that helps,

The problem with most "nerds" is that they set their "standards" too high and that they are too scared to ask out a person they like. There are loads of girls who feel the same way you do. Take a look at some of the girls around you...maybe they look "nerdy" because they wear glasses, or have a little acne, or may be a little heavier than the other girls, maybe they dress not so well cause they don't know better, but would you rather look back on high school and remember yourself as the guy who never had a date, or would you rather be the guy that had SOMEBODY at least. Many of those "nerdy" girls come out of college looking like models once they find themselves. I'd suggest asking out "the quiet girl" that maybe wears dresses too much or rarely speaks, but has a nice figure. You may find the love of your life and a girl who hides the best body in school!! And if she's a little thick then you may end up with enough titty to feed the homeless, but she'll be devoted to the guy that took the time to notice her.
It worked for me! lol

Depends on your social style. Being a nerd is not a problem if you have social skills. Enjoying Start Rek and playing DnD (or whatever the nerds of today are doing) is not a problem if you can communicate and NOT be a social piriah. Not being creepy, klingy and keeping your nerdy intersts to yourself are all good tips. Keep putting yourself in social situations and dont lock yourself up by the computer and hang with only other nerds all the time. Stay true to your nerd roots, but expand your horizons. No worries, unless you are a lost cause, and there are many out there, you should be ok.

Take your pick. All answers contain some truth.

Woman answer:

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over hoping to get different results.

No, or more correctly. The girls you are attracted to do not like nerds. There are hundreds of reasons people come up with for why these girls are just shallow, but the issue is with you.

Your standards are unrealistic. I'm confident there are nice girls who you have looked over. You selfish, shallow, pig of a man.

Man answer:

In life, there are winners and losers. Guess what team you're on

Women look for certain things in a man. Most of the time, it is something they want.

In short, change yourself so that you possess something that they want because it's obviously impossible for them to want you as you are now. The human gene pool has been formed by weeding less deserving specimens out systematically. This is nothing new.

PC Answer:

Try to get out there and find women that share your interests. There are just as many lonely women as men out there willing to give it a go, and as long as you take reasonable care of yourself, you'll be able to find companionship. She may not be a supermodel, but looks fade eventually anyway.

Sure, it's just rare. My brother is a certified computer-loving, D&D-playing card-carrying tech geek, and he had a girlfriend all through high school. However, of his entire social group (if you can call it that?—maybe gaming group..) he was the only one that ever got any action. I think the others were kind of in awe of him actually.

As a nerd, I'm sure you can appreciate statistically there aren't enough nerd girls to go around. Like 1:10 maybe, if that.

Doesn't mean you'll be single forever though. Geeks tend to get good jobs when they're out of school, and money makes everything A LOT easier. Worst case, you can always get a mail order bride.

Best of luck to ya.

You'll likely find a girlfriend/wife at some point. I don't know how old you are, but I can tell you that high school is very different from life after high school when it comes to dating.

By the way, girls (especially in high school) are super bitchy to guys that they aren't attacted to and don't want anything from. Some women will still treat you like crap later on in life, but there will be less and less of them.

In particular watch out for girls with rich parents, they are super hard to please and will expect the world from the guys they date. Find a nice middle class girl.

Don't be too picky about which girls you date right now...just get some practice even if she have bad skin or 20 extra pounds.

Make sure you keep yourself in good shape and buy clothes that look good on you. Join clubs or take summer jobs that contain the kind of girls that you like. Eventually you'll meet someone who has a mutual attraction to you...it's a numbers game.

Yes nerds do have girlfriends too because there are nerds that are confident enough to ask a girl out when they like her and they have confidence a girl like guys that are confident if you have confidence you can have a girlfriend. Dress nice smell nice look nice and have confidence you will get a girlfriend. But the key is when you get her stay confident do not over do it either and she will like you for you.

The trick is to be a confident nerd, to be very comfortable with yourself, and to believe you deserve to get girls; you can still be a nerd.
I used to be a female nerd. One time I overheard someone say, "She makes it cool to be a nerd." Bec I was proud of my intelligence, good grades, and love of studying. Not in an obnoxious way; I just went along with people's teasing in a good-natured way. Ex: Once someone said, "F will be depressed if class is cancelled tom." I smiled, laughed, and said, "You know, I WILL be disappointed!!" Get it?

Girls cant be steriotyped like that. There are plenty of girls I know who are totally turned on by smart kids or weird kids, and some of them are really popular too. Don't give up, because there is someone out there for you.

Good luck!
