My wife and I have 12 children. She is starting to say she doesn't want anymore children. Without getting too graphic, she says her "area" hurts everytime we have relations because of all of the births. It's not pleasurable to have sex with her anymore and I think she knows that. She's also gained a lot of weight. I am a strict Bible Christian and believe that a married couple should have as many children as possible. As the head of my household, I know I have the right to have her bear more children and I know she respects me enough to obey. Should I give in to her wishes or not? What should I do?

I asked for fellow Christian men for advice, not the people who are answering now.

My husband says a true Christian would put his wife before himself. Jesus abstained from sex so maybe you should too. My husband says you should be proud of your wife for putting up with you for this long and don't push your luck. Be thankful for what you have and not what you think you need. Also, my husband says you are an idiot so don't report me.

May God Bless you.

well i'm not a man, but i am a christian. and if your wife has told you that she doesn't want any more children then you should respect her decision. 12 children is an extreme blessing, and it is very stressful. and i'm pretty sure that she is the one that is spending more time with them. she needs to have a life too and to be able to enjoy her life without being pregnant every 2 seconds. one child takes a toll on the female body, just imagen what 12 children do to your body. i bet if you had to experience what she had to go through by birthing a child one time, you would stop with that one. sex isn't good anymore because of the fact that she's had so many children. she's gained weight because of the 12 children. you should be a good husband to your wife by respecting her wishes to not have any more children. and the Bible also says to respect and love your spouse, if you don't, it will fall apart. on the outside she might appear to be fine, but on the inside she is probably stressing out. listen to your wife, and respect her for a change.

Are you serious? Do you know how hard it is to bare a child? Let alone twelve of them in your wife's case. Tell you what; I think she should respect your wishes if you can give birth to a baby through your penis. And for your info My best friend is that so called "Black Sheep" girl and I just willing chose, on my own, to become part of the catholic church through confirmation. It's people like you that drive others to become atheist so yeah... go have that kid through your penis and your wife will have another kid for yeah. HEH who knows maybe you'll be in the same delivery hallway at the hospital. ENJOY!

Where is the connection between being a "Bible Christian" and having as many children as possible? I can't recall any biblical command to do so. Maybe you should forget your "rights" and think more in terms of your responsibilities as a husband, which is to love your wife as Christ loved the Church. Christ showed his love by complete self-sacrifice, and by placing the needs of those He loved above His own needs.

How well are those fourteen people supported ? People of any or no religion should produce only children who they can feed, raise, and fully educate,
I doubt that you're doing that for the twelve you already have, and you want still more.
Your belief that you should produce as many kids as possible, is very convenient to your lust for sex.
Give both your wife and your dinkus a good rest. If you're really careing for your kids in the manner you should, you wouldn't have the time or the energy for more sex.

Im a christian and i have no idea where in the Bible it says that the husband has the right to have as many children as he wants no matter how much the wife protests, if you make here have more children, you are essentailly raping her. And if you have 12 i think thats enough.

As a Christian, I think that you should respect your wife's wishes. Yes, God holds you accountable as head of the house, but your wife is not your bondservant. She is a human being with thoughts and feelings and now probably a medical condition. You would be wise to help her in any way that you can. you have been blessed abundantly already with 12 lovely children. Be thankful, for some don't have any. Be merciful to your wife as you would have mercy upon you! God Bless You In Jesus' Name! Amen!

Are you freaking serious????? I had one baby and it wreaked havoc on my body, I can't imagine what 12 would do. It is HER choice if she wants to have more children. If you are so horny and against birth control, use Mr. Right or Mr. Left. Hell, get a girl on the side for god sake, just leave your wife alone!

What do think she is - A conveyor belt -For God's sake man, read your book and see that you go forth and multiply within reason. You are acting like a rabbit. No more children and she needs to get out and about a bit more - by herself obviously

Which is more important to you?

A) Bearing more children with the risk of causing your wife considerable pain and health problems possibly resulting in death.

B) Keeping your wife happy and healthy.

Out of curiosity, what job do you have that pays you well enough to support 12 children?
