I am a Mexican Citizen, living in Mexico. Part of my job involves assisting Mexican commercial vehicle operators get all of their USDot and FMCSA paperwork and certifications in check so they can cross the border and transport goods. For this service I charge my respective administrative fees.

I have already checked with my Mexican accountant and he says that all US services have to be reported US side and any taxes applicable must be paid there.

I work out of Monterrey, Mexico and all of my dealings are done through Texas border cities.

Any assistance?

My residence is in Monterrey, but to file the DOT forms and some other services I do have to physically be in the US. The work is done there since there are no FMCSA offices in Mexico.

The fees are charged in US dollars, due to the variable exchange rates, and paid in Mexico.

if i were you, id consult an accountant in the US. there is no income tax in Texas, but you may be required to file a federal tax return.

Are you working in the US? You say you work "out of" Mexico. The US would tax you if you were physically present in the US. It doesn't sound as though you are and I would be surprised if you were because you need a VISA to work in the US. For example if I were a Mexican citizen preparing USDot forms while I was in Mexico I would not owe US taxes.
