What a wonderful question. Pat Robertson now recieves Government money to perform charitable work. Pat Robertson....recieves money for charitable work. PAT ROBERTSON!!!

I have mixed feelings about allowing the non-taxation of for profit religion anyway, but what's going on now is stepping FAR beyond the line. It will end eventually. It might take decades, but the damage that our illustrious President did will eventually be undone.

Let's Roll!!! Bring it ON!!!!

Jesus said, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Catholic Church has been teaching world governments what it believes is right and wrong since the ancient Romans stopped persecuting it and long before anyone heard of the freedom of speech.

The Catholic Church protested about the blood sports in the Roman Colosseum and they were stopped.

I don't think the Church is going to (or should) stop teaching the world governments what is right or wrong now.

For example, abortion is a moral issue. The Catholic Church has taught that abortion is wrong since the first century A.D. Just because abortion has become a 'political' issue in the United States during the last 40 or 50 years does not take it out of the moral teaching arena.

With love in Christ.

i think of that's Racist Obama attended this church to get elected to the State Senate and then to the U. S. Senate. as quickly as the church grew to alter right into a criminal accountability, he pushed the congregation under the bus.

Take away churches tax-free status. Make 'em pay prpoerty taxes like everyone else. They shouldn't have it both ways...pay nothing for taxes but promote nitwits (like W.) for elected office.
That'd be the first thing I'd do...you play..you pay.

We need to write letters to the IRS and make sure they enact the law fully, politicking is illegal for tax exempt status religious institutions.

..........LOL! And those very places (churches or whatever) are probably the same place that everyone goes to vote!

And the Sunday before an election the "sermon" revolves around why "Mr. Smith" would serve the needs of the "Christian right" or whatever....

Laughable

They should lose their non-profit status, and pay all associated delinquent tax penalties.

They don't have a higher calling, their are simply tax cheats.
