Yes, they believe in God and Jesus, but they do not clump with the other religions of christendom. They share no part in human wars and politics. People are confused by their strict keeping of Bible teachings that stand them out from others and they preach the coming kingdom to the entire earth and use God's name Jehovah.
People who have turned away from churches for many reasons are finding the real answers of the common questions most people have on their lips about why and is there hope and all answers come and found are from the Bible not from the doctrines and traditions of churches of men but only God's inspired word found truthly and directly only in the Bible.

even as the Isrealites were God's chosen human beings the encircling international locations celebrated birthdays. Genesis 40:20-22 Joseph and the pharoah's birthday. Matthew 14;6-10 Herods birthday they'd commonplace what the bible termed pagan customs. it quite is why even as Jesus got here he condemed the failings they did and reported the non secular leaders were blind classes. Pharisees were condemed. Jesus became not born on Christmas day. The bible says he died even as he became 30 a million/2 years old. that ought to position his lack of existence interior the spring. He became surely born interior the fall. It became not commonplace into Christianity till countless thousand years after Jesus died. He fortold an exceptionally good apostacy to occurr after the apostles died. The pagan international locations were celebrateing this vacation from the start of time. a lengthy time period earlier Jesus ever got here to the earth. It became worship of the solar, and the celebs. interior the wintry climate the evergreen became the purely element nevertheless residing, so so that you are able to appease the solar God they placed a megastar on the best and the different candles on the tree. they'd a competition to the solar God very corresponding to that today. God condemed astrologers and the worship of the solar God. many years previous to that. They were afraid now to not do it because some months after the competition right here comes spring. devoid of this celebration that lasted for weeks, they feared the solar does not come back. So the early church to transform the pagans allowed this custom. in basic terms as they allowed many different pagan practices. Then children are lied to about Santa Clause, he knows climate you're good or undesirable? purely God knows that, he would not even enable the angels to carry close your innovations. So it really is seeped in pagan customs and astrology and lies. So may that be ideal to God now even as it wasn't years in the past?

Yes althought outside the Christian denomination mainstream.

They originated in the United States at the end of the 19th cent., organized by Charles Taze Russell Russell, Charles Taze, 1852–1916, founder of the movement whose followers are known as Russellites, as Bible Students, and (since 1931) as Jehovah's Witnesses.

Believing that all other religions are false, Jehovah's Witnesses reject traditional Christian doctrines such as the Trinity, eternal torment in hell and the immortality of the soul. The central theme of their preaching is God’s Kingdom (that is, God's rule over the Earth) with Jesus Christ as its king.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness but I do respect others whose beliefs differ from mine. I don't care what a friends religion is as long as they do not criticize mine or aggressively promote theirs to me.

As a JW I know better than many persons here who answered your question. We are Christians and not a cult. We believe in Jesus Christ. He is God's first creation who sacrificed himself for our sins.
Yes, we have different teachings. We don't believe in trinity, in life after death, that Jesus was sacrificed on a cross (but on a stick) etc. How did we get to this conclusions? Studying carefully the Bible. You can visit our website or ask your friend if you want to know more. We are different from all religions. The rest, even the pagan religions, have common doctrines and costumes (like trinities, immortal soul, Christmas etc.). We try to stay as clean as possible.

Jehovah's Witnesses follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ dedicating there life to doing God's Will.

You will hear much rhetoric about them, however, you will benefit yourself by speaking with them and taking a look at their official website: www.watchtower.org

You are more than welcome to email me if you have some specific questions, but if you studied the Bible with them you would have probably gotten all your questions answered in a very short period of time.

Also, remember that the true Christians of Bible times were not always respected because what they taught. The same is true today, but it doesn't mean they are not teaching people in 236 lands the Truth of God's Word.

"They said to him: “Neither have we received letters concerning you from Ju·de′a, nor has anyone of the brothers that has arrived reported or spoken anything wicked about you. 22 But we think it proper to hear from you what your thoughts are, for truly as regards this sect it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against.” -Acts 28:21-22

John 17:17; John 17:3 are very beneficial to look at when learning what the Bible really teaches.

Best wishes on your quest!

The Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus was created as Archangel Michael / lesser God; became only a good man, died, ceased to exist, re-created as Michael again in heaven. They teach that Jesus is not God and they also deny the trinity. All of these teachings go against the Bible.
Counterfeit Christianity is probably the best description I can give for a cult. Counterfeit Christianity is an imitation of real Christianity. Bible terms like "Jesus Christ, Resurrection, Salvation, and Atonement" are used by the Cult, but the various cult groups have assigned entirely different meanings to these terms.
Like counterfeit money which is sometimes difficult to detect, so it is difficult to detect counterfeit Christianity, since it looks like the real thing. Experts examining counterfeit money often hold it up to a strong light and look for identifying marks. Counterfeit Christianity also has identifying marks, which can be seen when, held up to an even stronger light, the light of God's word, the bible.
We are at an advantage if we know what to expect from a cult. Cultists are very well trained to appear "Christian", and indeed believe they are the true churches, and you need the deliverance! Therefore, be bold and ask the question, "do you believe the group you represent is the only true church on the face of the earth?"
If they reply that they are, or if they are evasive, making remarks like "Well, every church has a measure of truth but...", you have made an early detection of a Cultist.
Every true Christian, if asked the same question, regardless of his denomination, would reply that the true church is comprised of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and HE (not some organization) is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE, (John 14:6). No legitimate denomination would claim that they alone and their members have salvation exclusively, but the cults (the counterfeits) do.

They are a Christian based religion but have many different beliefs. They believe they are the true Christians. They do not celebrate Christs birth but they celebrate his death and Resurrection.

they call themselves christians. it kind of depends how you define a christian. some people would say a christian is someone who belives christ was the saviour if you follow that defenition they are christians. some other kinds of christians may have different definitions of what a christian is so may not call them christians. from an academic point of view they are clasified as a kind of christians.

If it is, it shouldn't be.

There are two Jehova's Witnesses in my chorus class and they aren't allowed to sing about god or go into a church.
