A mid-morning snack would be whatever you happen to eat between breakfast and lunch....
Breakfast in early morning, lunch at noon, so the snack would come sometime in the middle of the morning.

A quick snack between breakfast and lunch. A meal between those times would be brunch.
I like a quick cheese quesadilla, ramen, or a small plate of leftovers.
