Why is the prophecy in the Bible not good evidence? It has never been wrong. Yet how long has the Bible been around?
I will give you one ( would give more but that would make this answer way to long.)
Prophecy; Luke 19:41-44; 21:20,21(you can read that)
Fulfillment: Jerusalem revolted against Rome and in 66 C.E. the roman army under Cestius Gallus attacked the city. But as Jewish historian Josephus reports. the Roman commander "suddenly called off his men, abandoned hope though he had suffered no reverse, and flying in the face of all reason retired from the City" (Josephus the Jewish War,penguin Classics.1969,p.167) This provided opportunity for Christians to flee from the city wich they did moving to Pella beyond the Jordan according to Eusebius Pamphilus in his Ecclesiastical History. (Translated by C.F.Cruse`,London, 1894, p.75) Then around Passover time of the year 70 C.E. General Titus besieged the city an encircling fence 4.5 miles long was erected in just three days and after five months Jerusalem fell."Jerusalem itself was systematically destroyed and the Temple left in ruins. Archaeologival work shows us today just how effective was the destruction of Jewish buildings all over the land-The Bible and Archaeology (grand rapids. mich.;1962) J. A. Thompson, p.299
So being honest I would have to say that its not just emotional...

This depends on what you consider "evidence" to be. There is plenty of evidence for certain historical accuracy. There is evidence of certain events such as the plagues of Egypt and so forth. These might be necessary conditions for the Bible being God's Word, but not sufficient. I don't think there is an inductive way to prove its authorship in a way that is incorrigible to skeptical and secular theories. Yet that isn't really a problem, at least for the believer, necessarily. You would need to have your own criterion for evidence and see if it is rational. Then proceed with it.

there is for those that God chooses to deliver reliable fantasy too. 2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because of the fact they gained no longer the affection of the fact, that they could be stored. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this reason God shall deliver them reliable fantasy, that they could have confidence a lie: 2 Thessalonians 2:12 That all of them could be damned who believed no longer the fact, yet had exhilaration in unrighteousness. purely the authorized KJV is the be responsive to God. however the modern variations are intentionally CORRUPT, and have endless contradictions... on purpose. you notice they have been created as portion of the Counter-Reformation by using the Catholic church. because of the fact while human beings began examining their Bibles, they observed the the Catholic church became all lies and evil. with the purpose to try by contrast, the Jesuits created their very own fake corrupt bhible variations. in case you like the actual and organic be responsive to God, you will could discover a King James Bible. the different bibles are in accordance with corrupted forged manuscripts, and written by using guy, no longer God, and are purely good for burning.

No.....whether you believe it or not , we ALL have EVERYTHING riding on it ! It is , or should not be , emotional. God reaches out to those who seek his face...he gives us the choice to either accept him or reject him .Consqequences of that choice rest with us as individuals. The Bible was inspired by God & has stood the test of time...once again , you will only come to recognise the truth if you are seeking truth & then God will reveal it.
