It is not logic to believe in an all powerful, complex being that created everything, because if everything has a creator then what created the all powerful complex being. Whatever did would have to be more powerful and complex and what created that.

It is more logical to believe that a simple un-complexes, particle exploded and created everything over billions and billions of years. And you may ask what created this simple un-complex structure and the answer is something even less complex, and so on and so on.

If you look around you can see that you learn to walk before u can run so that is why whatever started the beginning of the beginning would have to be very simple not powerful and complex

Most people who get called Atheist are not truly Atheists, they are Agnostic. As an Agnostic its not really so much about "believing" in anything. All we're trying to say is - we simply don't know if God exists. Even if you confess to believe in a God how do you know whose version of God is correct? Since no human being has the capability to answer questions like these that would make Agnosticism the only true religion there is. Some people have the common sense and courage to admit that, others don't

I practiced and studied religion since I was in the cradle. I got to understand how it functions well enough to see the psychological manipulation behind it.

The idea of "God", as promoted by most Christians, is very comforting. Enough so that the Roman emperors found it very useful for controlling the people, especially those they had conquered and assimilated.

Eventually, my definition of "God" became so broad that it stopped making sense to use it. Religion is a powerful force and should be used for good, not to make people feel better about bad situations. Including their own judgementalness and hate.

I am. Are you Catholic because it is the one logical way of thinking, or is it because you grew up among other people who are also Catholic? If you grew up in Pakistan, would you have come to the same realization? Once I realized this, and other things, it made sense that any religious person could simply be wrong, and that all religious dogma is simply handed-down rules from a long time ago.

There is no rational reason for anyone to believe in God, there is a complete lack of evidence to support the God theory that's why people who do believe in God do so only on a faith basis, if there was any evidence at all there would be no need for the faith thing... so think about it and please remember that through faith alone we can believe absolutely anything ...however all the faith in the world doesn't make it true.

I'm an atheist. I don't believe in god simply because there is not one to believe in. Instead I focus on things like love and happiness and raising my son to be a free thinking person.

I had religion crammed down my throat as a child and I would never impose that on anyone else. I respect that people have every right to believe in whatever they want. What I don't respect is when that belief is used to harm humanity in any way.

I'm an atheist, and even though I think you need a few English lessons, I don't believe in god because he simply isn't real. I live my life for me and my family, not for something I can't even see. I'm a good person for the sake of being good, not because I don't want to go to hell or because I just want to get into heaven.

I'm Atheists and don't believe in God because it seems completely unreasonable to believe that people 2k years ago knew more about the universe then we do now.

I'm an atheist. I do not believe in any god(s) because there is no reason to do so. Since there is no objective, verifiable, validatable evidence to support the existence of any god, I find it difficult to believe in one. Sorry, I tend to be rational.

I'm atheist. I'm without belief in the existence of any and all god concepts.

Think about this for a moment: The Aztecs believed in Quetzalcoatl. They believed that the wind of Quetzalcoatl was the breath of life, a god of creation. His birth was even a virgin birth, born to the goddess Coatlicue.

Do you believe in Quetzalcoatl? If you don't... what does that make you?
