Full and double mean the same thing. As far as the queen headboard is concerned, you need to make sure there is no attachment issue. Many times with headboards, there are predrilled holes designed to attached to rails or the frame of the bed itself, which will hold up the headboard in a vertical position. If there are no attachment parts specific to the queen-sized bed (like rails, or a specific midpoint), yes, you can use the headboard. It's going to be about 3" too big on each side, but with the fact that our mattresses these days are overstuffed and that comforters extend past the edge of the bed, I think it will look quite nice.

Double beds and full-size beds are the same, as far as I know. And yes, a full/queen headboard would fit your double bed.

No difference between double and full size in the U.S. Queen size is a little bigger than double, but the headboard might work.
