Garden Girl gave you a wonderful answer on how the cancers spread through the body. The person who talked about breast feeding mothers may need to check their research as there are a lot of non breasting women who get breast cancer. Just a thought
One of the most effective treatments for early breast cancer is lumpectomy. (It has been proven that very little difference, if any, between total breast removal and lumpectomy improved the patients chances of survivial. Early detection and immediate treatment is the best chance of survival. There are estrogen
blockers often given along with advance treatment. This is another form of controversy as some of these estrogen blockers have caused failure of the immune system and can be a detriment not a help. Not all estrogen blockers are equal. I have listed some info below. DIM is considered safer as it is more natural. Hope this helps.

The other answers gave you good information. You might look into this. They had a research paper out a few years ago saying that the best cancer fighter was Interferon, at $15,000 a gram. What the paper also said was that Interferon was a product of the natural breakdown of Vitimin C in your system. A few months later the FDA tried to make Vitimin C a perscription drug. Guess why??? The FDA says that the RDA for Vit C is 65 mg a day. That is enought to stave off scruvy. Linus Pauling, who got a Nobel Prive for his discovery and work with Vit C said 1000 mg a day normally and 2000mg a day if you get sick. He played tennis up until the day he died at 96. It makes sense. I took large doses of Vit C when I was sick, a week flat on my back twice a year and after 20 years the doctors had no idea what my problem was. Vit C increased daily over a week and following a bell curve over the 2 weeks, 40,000 mg a day at the peak and 300,000mg over 2 weeks, and I was completely asymptomatic. Doing that for 2 years and I have not been sick in 10 years now. You might look into it.

Breast cancer generally spreads via tiny vessels called lymphatics. The tumor then develops in the nodes under the arm or under the breastbone. Tumor may also spread by the blood stream to invade lungs, liver, bones and brain in that order.

Almost any type of cancer has a better outcome when diagnosed and treated early. Outcomes are constantly improving for breast cancer.

Once breat cancer grows to a certain size it begins to travel throughout the body through the lymphyatic system... "lymph nodes". It then settles in specific parts of the body and it is then called metastasis. The goal is to find it when it is isolated to the breast at a small size. When women have a lumpectomy or mastectomy they take a certain number of lymph nodes out to biopsy also to see if it has had a chance to spread. If it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes you have a much greater chance of lessened treatment because it is localized. When it travels to the liver or colon the chances of survival become lessened but not impossible. Just harder to cure and you can have a more difficult time with the increased need of chemo and radiation therapy.

Breast cancer developes in the body because of lack of breast feeding. The retained milk takes the powder form and developes the breast cancer.
The breast mainly comprises of blood vesels, mammary glands and a labyrinth of nerves. Its main function is to secrete milk for the newborn. Hence, proper functioning of the breast, would depend on sufficient blood flow and supply of essential nutrients. Lack of the same, will lead to malfunctioning and deterioration of the breast.
Breast cancer is caused by the fact that during the weaning period the breast feeding mothers; the remnant milk, which is in the mammary glands, is not pumped out. This milk is not absorbed by the body and remains stagnant over a period of years, slowly solidifying into lumps, which later emerge as mastitis or breast cancer. Yes, it it is dangerous like other cancers and removal of breast is the only treatment.

I am not sure how it moves but if you discover a lump in the armpits that is a sure sign and you may have to have one or both breasts removed.
