It is plaque from not brushing them enough. Everyone gets it. I suggest brushing your teeth a lot more often.

the white film you get on your teeth is from several things first you need to drink more water (sounds like your slightly dehydrated) secondly you need to look at your overall health , do you smoke and drink alcohol in excess (need to reduce both of these. thridly look at your diet do you eat a lot of take away food especially spicy. And last of all you need good regular oral hygiene which includes brushing your teeth, flossing and mouth washed (the types without alcohol in them) and visiting the dentist regularly.

this is why a general practitioner will ask you to 'open wide and show me your tongue' when you have a check up its shows your overall health

Plaque buddy..Need to brush more vigorously but dont worry, last time i checked, everyone gets it. Try using a plaque toothpaste.

Try brushing at least once a year and it might go away
