It is imp to know this answer because i can't sleep properly everyday."By knowing ans i will manage to sleep properly".

A man can sleep as many as hours a day ,but it makes you lazy if sleep > 10 hours so,sleep of 8 hrs is OK!!!

Everybody can get by with a different amount of sleep, most people need about 7-9 hours of sleep.

You should have 6-8 hours of average sound sleep, by sound sleep i mean sleep without distruption.
sleeping more than 7 hours on an average makes you lazy, disintrested in doing things. a warm water bath or a luke warm glass of milk will help you sleep immediately.

6-7 hours of deep sleep is good for the system

I can sleep up to 14 and be fine, but thats just me. I don't see how this will help you sleep better. My bf has insomnia and takes melatonin. It helps a lot. You should try it. They sell it in any grosery store. Good luck.
