"The World (Earth) " was his world, where he walked and what he knew of as "the world". -- Did his world flood? Of course says both the Bible and Paleontologists (fossil records).

When we read the Bible we need not consider it an analogy. However, we do need to consider the words from a perspective of those who wrote it and those who would have read those scrolls shortly after they were written.

There have been many floods all over the world throughout history, some great and some small. There has never been a global flood however. The reason behind this is fish. Some fish can only survive in saltwater, while other fish can only survive in freshwater. A global flood would mix all water, which would of course kill off several species of fish. Considering these fish exist today, they must have evolved after the flood, or they are living proof that there was no global flood.

Noah's flood is absolutely false because it is impossible for eight people to build a boat that could accommodate the millions of species of animals on the planet. Some of these animals can only survive in certain climate conditions. Neither noah nor any member of his family had the ability to create the varying climate conditions necessary to assure the survival of these animals for more than 40 days. Not only that, but Noah and his family would also have been unable to properly feed and dispose of the excrements from all of these animals. How many people does it take to run a zoo? How does one contain and care for 350,000 species of beetle? Sorry, but there are too many physical impossibilities to allow for the literal interpretation of Noah's Flood to be taken seriously.

The Epic of Gilgamesh also talks about a great flood, the Chinese and also the Australian Aboriginies have folklore about a great flood, so although it may not have covered the whole globe, there is a lot of evidence in the legends and folklore of many diverse peoples that there was a time of a great flood. Some scientists speculate that it happened at the end of an ice age, which would make sense. So, i think that it did happen, although Noah Story is just one angle of it.

True

there is enough water on earth to cover the enitre earth for 2 miles if the earth was smooth, the continents could have sank via 'runnaway subduciton' for a year

it best explains the fossil evidence and laid down most of the geological column we see today
The currect plates probbaly moved relatively quickly during the flood of Noah

the one ice age we see evidence of followed the flood and the overflow of some glacial lakes atr the end of the ice age best explain things like the misouli canyon and Grand Canyon as glacial lakes catastrophically overflowed

True (Genesis 6:1-7:24)
Evidence for the Flood exists in the fossil record. At one time, according to this record, great saber-toothed tigers stalked their prey in Europe, horses larger than any now living roamed North America, and mammoths foraged in Siberia. Then, all around the world, species of mammals became extinct. At the same time, there was a sudden change of climate. Tens of thousands of mammoths were killed and quick-frozen in Siberia. Alfred Wallace, the well-known contemporary of Charles Darwin, considered that such a widespread destruction must have been caused by some exceptional worldwide event. Many have argued that this event was the Flood.
If we grant that a great flood could have happened, why have scientists found no trace of it? They have, but they interpret the evidence some other way. Orthodox science teaches that the surface of the earth has been shaped in many places by powerful glaciers during a series of ice ages. But apparent evidence of glacial activity can sometimes be the result of water action. Some of the evidence for the Flood is being misread as evidence of an ice age.
Similar mistakes have been made. Concerning the time when scientists were developing their theory of ice ages, we read: “They were finding ice ages at every stage of the geologic history, in keeping with the philosophy of uniformity. Careful reexamination of the evidence in recent years, however, has rejected many of these ice ages; formations once identified as glacial moraines have been reinterpreted as beds laid down by mudflows, submarine landslides and turbidity currents: avalanches of turbid water that carry silt, sand and gravel out over the deep-ocean floor.”

True but there are a lot of misconceptions about it. It was a large flood but not world wide. also they did not take two of every animal on earth aboard. they only took two of every animal that was indigenous to that area. The flood was used to rid the area of the Nephelium (probably misspelled) that had infested the area.

One of the most read and interesting stories in the bible, however, rather impossible to fathom the enormous task of putting all the animals into a boat. If the ark was constructed in the middle east, how did the animals indigenous to other countries come to be, they all would have drown. True??? I don't think it was possible.
However, I do believe that the region had a catostrophic flood, evidence has been found, as it has in many other areas of the world.

False. The ark was impossible for Noah and his sons to build themselves, not to mention the problem with getting all the critters on board and the complexities of housing that many organisms.

A devastating, but only regional flood that was blown out of proportion and passed on through myths? Sure, I'll buy that one.
