They are only human like you or me! Why is it that when you know they have done something intentionaly to cause you harm, and you confront them, they act like you are crazy for confronting them! As if they are Gods themselves! Well I hate to bring the disappointment to those who think that just because they annointed they can do whatever they want: I think I have the right to confront evil preachers. Whether they are a Pastor or Bishop or whatever is completely irrelevant. You don't decieve people for your own personal gain and try to indirectly force poor people out of the congregation! If they are all about money then they need to be removed from the platform. You can't be afraid of these people because they say they are "annointed"! Anyone can say that. Sorry! lol......... I've had some terrible experiences with a man who called himself "annointed"! Be he is out of the church now because he tried to run off with another man's wife! This guy was a very evil man! But people feared him

Well I see how this could be acceptable if they where rock musicians or celebrities! But; these are people who say they are men of God! And God is not about Greed, lust, pride, or mockery. I don't know if some people are braindead or simply don't read their bibles but mocking poor people is not a very right thing for a man of God to do!!! If you are gonna do something like that you should step off the platform!

Power.
There are many ways to gain power.
Some gain power because they know how to make large amounts of money for people in business.
Others gain power because they are well liked and are famous.
Some gain power because they can organize like minded folk into voting for them
And the people your question asks about are those that gain power by convincing those around them they have a greater authority from a higher power.
If they could be a rock musician, businessman, or politician they would be. They have a different set of skills...But the same ambitions.

Power, m'boy. The ability to control and influence others has been used and abused since time immemorial. The Church is no exception. The same scene has been played out in every corner of the world with the Bible, Qu'ran, and Confucius' Analects used by religious and secular leaders to justify their own actions. It makes for a very effective action, if you can affect a change in societal perception of the right course of action, they can eliminate opposition in its infancy. And it's always effective when you can label your opposition as heretics.

I agree with your assessment and I'm truly sorry that you had to experience something like that.
I would hope that you don't become so embittered that you feel all are that way, I assure you I'm not.

Because they feel "special" and "superior" since they have been "annointed" to preach the word of god to others. It has much to do with power, and privilege. You can see for yourself this dynamic among those who preach here on this Yahoo Answers forum.

Never let money(unless it is given to you anonymously,so that they cannot hold it over your head-what kind of person would make you believe you owe them), or power(a man with a title/ or money w/misleading sense of character) attract you.
