I have a 77 Chevy Concours and it hasn't run in 5 years. I want to ask about $500 dollars for it, it is rusting and the engine needs to be replaced or at least the block is this a reasonable price?

It all depends on the condition of the rest of the car. If it's bad (interior shot, rough body, parts missing, severe rust damage) then you would be lucky to get $200-300 for it. If the car is genuinely restorable and needs only the engine to be driveable you might get a little more for it. Otherwise, it is just a parts car to be able to fix up something else. You won't get much for a parts car.

just about the only way that would make money is to part out the good parts. they don't make those cars or engine almore so parts are hard to find. run an add in a free car mag, or find a parts house and drop a word. you might also go to a pick and pull yard and see if they offer you anything. another thing you could do is donate it to a charity that accepts cars and take a small tax donation.

List that in the paper you advertise to sell it in if anyone comes around go down 200. to get rid of it you may never get what you want for it take a loss and you won't have to see it everyday.

Yes i guess, you said it does'nt run and is rusting and the engine is bad. If you can get that much i would take it and run. Especially if your not planning to restore it.
