What should I do if I want to get rid of it. Can I pierce it with a sterile needle or does it need seeing by a doctor? I first noticed it more than a month ago and I thought it had gone away but today it is back and just as big as before. Is it related to my habit of cleaning my eardrums with cotton buds? I like to do that several times a week but always take care not to hurt myself.

I dont know how old you are, but I had the same thing when I was in my late teens. It went away on its own. If you are really worried about it ask a doctor or go to Webmd.com.

Please consider me for 10 points!!!

I think I know what you're talking about.
I also had it in my left earlobe, and my friend told me it could be calcium deposits that built up in my earlobe.
I didn't mind it, and I left it alone and they were gone after a few weeks. I wouldn't pierce it if I were you, and I would stop cleaning my eardrums... I think's putting the Q-tip in WAY too far.
