I've heard that the wife of the Prophet (pbuh), Aisha led an army in a war but what was the name of the battle and what was it about? Thank you!

"The Battle of Bassorah, Battle of the Camel, or Battle of Jamal was a battle that took place at Basra, Iraq in 656 between forces allied to Ali (Muhammad's cousin and son-in-law) and the superior forces of rebel Arabs allied to Aisha (a previous wife of Muhammad, and now his widow) who wanted justice for the perpotrators of the assassanation of the previous caliph Uthmaan."

Could it be the battle of Uhad?

Found the following reference in my collection of Hadith:

'Narrated Anas:

On the day (of the battle) of Uhad when (some)
people retreated and left the Prophet, I saw
'Aisha bint Abu Bakr and Um Sulaim, with their
robes tucked up so that the bangles around their
ankles were visible hurrying with their water skins
(in another narration it is said, "carrying the water
skins on their backs"). Then they would pour the
water in the mouths of the people, and return to
fill the water skins again and came back again to
pour water in the mouths of the people.'

I believe it was the Battle of Bassorah or the Battle of the Camel or the Battle of Jamal -- I believe she was looking for justice for the murder of a previous caliph.

I'm sure a Muslim scholar will be able to answer better than I.
