Can't we reinvent the gods and make them suit our own political agendas?

I'm joking screw politics, but we could really just make up completely new beliefs from the older (and newer) 'faiths' since there is really not enough evidence to prove any religious mythology to be real or fake?

If you would rewrite a creation myth what would you add to it to make it more diverse and to explain all the human cultures and animals’ species (also dinosaurs), you can choose any of the creation stories (there’s a ton)...

Exactly my point, YOU can believe anything even a religion based on older religions...I can create a religion and in 2000 years people could believe every story i write down to be real. Archaeologists will even find 'some' evidence that i was REAL person.

Yes, I believe we can. No joke.....I invented the Goddess Caffeina as I would drink my cup of coffee in the morning to suit my worship of my beloved cup o joe...it became ritual like. We are all god creators. Take whatever suits you from any faith, old new....whatever resonates with you and create a type of spirituality that suits you.

Evolution is a theory if this so called 'missing link ' could be found it would become a fact.
Would that change anything? I think not! The Adam and Eve story could be explained as a sort of parable.
As an atheist I have been pondering (for years) trying to work out what it would take to 'prove' to me that there is a God, every hing from a personal visit to world wide visit, whatever fantasy I ever came up with, there is no way I would ever believe .
Now conversely I have also given thought to these religious folk, how could I ever 'prove' to them that there is no God, and once again I have come up with zilch!!
I don't believe, they believe Amen. No matter what we wrote or re wrote nothing would change.

Ok, how about my interpretation of 'The Fall of Man'.

We come to what is NOT the physical world. This is virtually impossible to prove as the very nature of proof relies on evidence of physics and physics is of course subject to the physical. However, from PERSONAL experience I can confirm that there is a non physical world. I have had personal experience of God, the Holy Spirit or Jesus or all three, I'm not sure which. Not being of the physical then they are not subject to the passing of time - hence God was, always has been and always will be. As time is movement and movement is space, therefor time and space are intrinsicly intertwined. That's how God can be omnipresent - because he is not physical and not subject to time or space.Take an image of God and create man. Now how can you take and image of something that is not physical? By having a part of God within ourselves that is not physical also. This we call our Spirit and our soul. Our part that is in the image of God. Not our body as this is physical. If our spirit is not physical then this too is not subject to time and always was, always has been and always will be. So at what point did the physical and the spirit become joined as one? This is what I hypothesize is referred to as 'The fall of man'. After Adam ate the fruit from the forbidden tree he became aware that he was naked. He hid from God among the trees of the garden as he didn't want God to see him naked. He was 'self conscious'. To have self awareness is to have sentience. Sentience is said to be something possessed only by humans, (although it has been proven that chimpanzees also have some degree of self awareness). Whereas animals can only do what their kind have always done, not through choice but through that lack of sentience. They can only do what God programmed them to do. A cat cannot attempt to mimic a human voice and talk like a parrot does. A parrot does not make conversation by repeating the words he hears, he just mimics the noises he hears, whether it's 'Pretty Polly' or the noise of a chainsaw cutting trees down in the Amazon forest. They only do what they are programmed to do and cannot make a choice to stop doing so. Mankind, however, has freedom of choice. This is what differs him from the rest of the animal kingdom. God banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden but God still lives there along with the tree of life and it's secret of eternal life. The Garden of Eden is the place where our spirit dwelled before the fall.
These are just my own thoughts. I was told by my pastor that to rewrite the Bible is to begin a new religion, as so many before have e.g. Jehova's Witnesses, Mormons etc. etc.
But I am just trying to make sense of what to me doesn't make sense

While it seem you assume it is easy to rewrite history in a way that can offer verifiable proofs and stand the test of time, this is not so, and it is peoples gullibility and eagerness to believe unsubstantiated history that is the problem. The latest notable attempt to do so was the Da Vinci code, which was easily shown to be fiction on steroids but which sold over 50 millions copies, as apparently people love a lie more than the truth.

False history is usually shown to be so, and while their is abundant archaeological and empirical proofs for the Bible, with many established historians affirming the existence of Christ, etc., writings such as the Book of Mormon are easily to shown to be spurious. Meanwhile the resurrection and reality of Christ is manifest every time a person truly turns to Jesus in their heart from sin and receives Him as their Lord and Savior! He is real and will change your heart and life in ways that "religion" or simple psychological factors cannot - if you truly want Him. Praise the Lord!

Christianitanity did this with Jewish and Greek practices. First it was warped to suit Paul's end-of-the-world hate, then to suit the got-to-get-them-away-from-Judaism needs of the early Church fathers. Constantine and co. made it into the ultimate 'bread and circuses', keep them distracted and subjugated with promises of rewards in the hereafter for suffering right now. Absolutely brilliant for staving off social reform. And it's still going on today.

The result is a bastardized version of neither. But Christians don't like to hear that. Gets in their way of thinking that their mindset is a universal truth.

You need to read the sutra of "Lin Yin" which is not a creation or recreation. The theory will bring you more clear the world running. There is no god because you are god. There is god because you cannot be. As you do'nt know how to be god. Even you know how to be and you choose not to be.

The Bible already does that so eloquently, and it's not a myth.
Maybe you should consider writing comic books for a living, sounds like you have a wild imagination.
