I have a MS Word document containing 8 pages. I want to check the spelling and grammar but quite surprisingly, the Spelling and Grammer is working for the 1 page only and when I come to the page 2, it shows that the spell check is complete whereas there are errors in other pages.

Quite surprisingly, this function is working in all pages of other files. Please suggest.

Word has marked the remaining text as already checked. Copy and paste is certainly a solution but not always, especially if the document is heavily formatted and use styles. You have to reset the document so that Word will again check the spelling. Here is what you do:

TOOLS in the menu
OPTION
SPELLING & GRAMMAR tab
Click the "RECHECK document" button
Answer Yes

Problem solved :)
PS. Some versions of Word may say "Reset" in stead of recheck.

Sounds like Spellcheck thinks the words in question are correct. Could they have accidentally been marked "ignore" or added to the dictionary?

What kind of errors? Spellcheck doesn't know whether you mean "their" or "there," "to," "too," or "two." If a word is incorrectly placed, but is in fact a word, Spellcheck passes it by.

Try this.
Make new document, copy text and paste into new one.
