Osteen is a bright, articulate, and likeable fellow, and he comes from a good family.

Much of what he has to say is excellent.

His theology though, is far from perfect, and while entertaining, the validity of his "health and wealth" message is often suspect, at least for a true man of God.

His image and his message has been carefully tailored, and packaged for mass consumption ... which is not necessarily bad ... just worthy of note.

Lots of marketing going on there, at several levels.

I work at a group home and one of the guys is a certified bible thumper, he is always listening to the channel that Joel Osteen is on. I always have to listen to the religious zealots doing their thing while caring for this man, and I have to say that Joel Osteen is the only one that has ever made me laugh and relate to his stories. i am an atheist and would not listen unless i was at work, but I have to say he's better than all the other ones thats for sure!

properly i do not truly like him because I referred to the episode on Larry King stay at the same time as Larry King requested Joel if he would tell those who Jesus is the in trouble-free terms thanks to heaven Joel Osteen suggested that is not any longer for me to assert in trouble-free terms God can say. many people experience that in that second Joel Osteen denied Christ because the bible makes it sparkling that Jesus is the in trouble-free terms thanks to heaven. you are able to order the transcripts of the educate and browse it for your self. i'm no longer attempting to allow you to understand no longer to love him i'm basically letting you understand why many people now no longer like him.

He's just another of a long line of the religious-types false prophets (profits?) taking the lemmings over the edge. He'll rant and rave against something then go out and do the very thing he's ranted and raved against. Strippers, Jessica, Playboy, pages, illegal drugs, money-laundering, lies, deceit, the occassional alter-boy...the list goes on and on. It's just delicious to sit back and watch people (sometimes switching from one defrocked false-profit..to the new younger generation looking for their first false profit) getting taken in and under the spell .

He's a great inspirationalist (if that's a real word). His theology is not that strong, but fortunately, he doesn't use it a whole bunch in his sermons lol.

I knew him in high school briefly, he's exactly what you see on TV; well, perhaps a bit more polished-looking, but his soul is just what you see emanating from him.

I think he talks down to people and has a tiny mullet.
